Fair Billing Policy

Most software charges per user regardless of how many people on your team actually use it. At Brokerdesk, we believe you should only be billed for what you use.

The short version

  • You're billed only for users active in the last billing period.
  • If all members become inactive, you'll be billed for a minimum of one member, unless you cancel your subscription.

How you're billed for users

You're billed for all members of your organization that are actively using Brokerdesk. A user is considered active if they have used Brokerdesk in the last billing period.

When an invited member accepts their invitation and joins your organization, they'll be billed as an active member starting that day.

Adding new members during your billing period

If you add new members partway through the billing period, we only charge for the time used. We'll calculate the prorated cost and bill you accordingly.

Example

Your organization is on the Essentials plan at $29 per active user per month. Ten days into your billing period, you add a new member. There are 20 days remaining.

Prorated cost: ($29 ÷ 30 days) × 20 days = $19

When you'll see charges

  • On the day you purchase a paid plan (1 user)
  • On your monthly renewal date (number of active users minus applicable prorated credit)
